Proxy FAQ

Everything about choosing proxies: types, use cases, pricing, and what to buy for your specific scenario.

Proxy types

What are the differences between proxy types?

What's the difference between IPv4, IPv6, residential, and mobile proxies?

IPv4 — classic datacenter IPs. Universally compatible but more expensive and easily identified as datacenter traffic.

IPv6 — cheap datacenter addresses. Great for scraping if the target site supports the protocol. Not supported by older CMS or some financial services.

Residential — real home ISP IPs. Look like regular users, difficult for anti-fraud systems to block.

Mobile — carrier IPs (4G/5G). Highest trust level — best choice for marketplaces and social media.

What is a dedicated proxy?

A dedicated proxy is an IP reserved exclusively for you. No one else uses it. This guarantees a clean IP reputation and no blocks caused by other users' actions.

What is a shared pool?

A shared pool is a set of IP addresses used simultaneously by multiple clients. Cheaper than dedicated, but the IP reputation depends on all pool users. Suitable for scraping and tasks where IP uniqueness is not critical.

Use cases

Which proxy fits my use case?

What proxies work for marketplace automation (Avito, Wildberries)?

Only mobile or high-quality residential proxies. Datacenter IPv4 and IPv6 get banned on marketplaces within minutes.

What is the best proxy for scraping and SEO monitoring?

Dedicated IPv6 is the cheapest option for high-volume requests. If the target site doesn't support IPv6, use IPv4. For geo-targeted scraping, rotating residential pools are a strong choice.

What proxies work best for Instagram, TikTok, and social media?

Best choice: dedicated mobile or residential. They mimic real home and mobile traffic, minimizing block risk.

What proxies do I need for ad arbitrage (FB Ads, Google Ads)?

Dedicated IPv4 is the standard choice for ad buyers. Stable datacenter IP with good reputation. Residential proxies can also work for some flows.

Pricing

Pricing and buying questions

Is it cheaper to buy 100 IPs at once?

Almost all providers give a 20–40% discount on 100-packs vs. single-IP pricing. Both prices are visible in the catalog tables — compare and decide if volume makes sense for you.

Do you sell proxies yourselves?

No, All Proxies is an independent catalog. We only compare provider plans and help you choose. Buy directly from the provider's own website.

How current are the catalog prices?

Prices are updated periodically. Always verify the current price on the provider's site before purchasing — prices can change.
